AS OF JANUARY 6, 2014, ST PAULS Operation Blessing Lives has delivered 75 mass kits for churches and chapels destroyed by TyphoonYolanda (international name Haiyan) in Archdioceses of Jaro and Palo and Dioceses of Calbayog, Borongan and Antique (see attached lists for the complete names of beneficiaries). In terms of logistical matters, coordination with priests of the Military Ordinariate of the Philippines (MOP), through their chaplaincy office at Villamor Airbase was instrumental to the successful transport of mass kits via military C130 planes, especially for the Archdiocese of Palo, Leyte and the Diocese of Borongan, Samar. On the other hand, mass kits for damaged churches in the Archdiocese of Jaro and the Diocese of Antique were transported via Roll on Roll Off (RoRo) buses plying the Manila-Panay island route.
Furthermore, people from different walks of life supported the project through their non-cash donations. (list of non-cash donors provided). In the same manner, as of January 4, 2014, ST PAULS Accounting Department reported the amount of PhP 925,237.45 ($20,735) (list of cash donors provided) as accumulated cash donations from generous individuals who either deposited or handed on their donations to ST PAULS various mall outlets. Hopefully, delivery of mass kits, particularly for damaged churches and chapels in northern parishes of the Archdiocese of Cebu and Dioceses of Capiz, Bohol and Palawan will be completed before the month of January ends.
