Alberione Hall, Makati City—Dubbed as “Scio Cui Credidi (I know him in whom I have believed … [2 Tim.1:12]),” a benefit concert for the St. Paul Seminary Foundation, Inc. (SPSFI) was held last June 27, 2014 at the Alberione Hall, Makati City by St. Paul Seminary Alumni Association Inc. (SPSAI).
The concert featured the talents of Ronaldo C. Ofalia (Baritone voice) with the guitar accompaniment of his brother, Benedicto C. Ofalia (Guitar) enthralling the audience with their repertoire of pop, standard classics and religious music: Wind Benerath My Wind, Blackbird, Little Prince, Some Enchanted Evening, If, Ikaw, Swing Low Chariot, Song of Ruth, You’ll Never Walk Alone, Precious Lord, Mariang Ina Ko and Lead Me Lord.
Los Cantantes de Manila and St. Paul Juniors Choir also rendered more songs to add color and joyful ambience to the night of memories and entertainment. Scio Cui Credidi, a hymn from 2 Timothy and which is dear to all who have been part of the Society of Saint Paul especially on its centenary foundation, was sung by the artists, alumni and the audience as St. Paul Juniors Choir led the closing number.
In the program, the organizers led by SPSAI Directors and members Mr. Alan Mercader, Henry Villamin and Emmanuel Borlaza presented to the SPSFI Board of Directors, Fr. Jose Aripio, SSP and Fr. Leopoldo Botavara III, SSP a check-donation to the seminary. Some seminarian representatives from St. Paul Semiary Silang also graced the occasion.
