After the start of the school year, things began to settle down. Class schedule, teachers’ names, and new classmates’ nicknames had been memorized, and the second quarter was about to start. Alongside these were new friendships that were forged among classmates or new additions to the circle of friends that had been absorbed in the peer group. Relationships were being constantly built from both the “old” and the “new”.
This was the scenario that was cast halfway in July 2012 in a coed school in Makati City. New bonds were being created as school life moved on. May, a sophomore high school student from the last batch of the old curriculum (Note: K to 12 Program has been launched last school- year), has gotten close with Nique (pronounced as Nik). They had known each other since they started out in high school. May was always giving Nique a hand in anything that she needed. Little did May know that she was “user-friendly”.
