Liking or Loving? Figuring it out

on Saturday, 04 January 2014. Posted in Candidly Teen

A relationship of any sort is born out of a meeting of individuals. The acquaintance can lead to two possibilities: either it develops into something deeper or it just remains an acquaintance. Revelations are made in every human transaction; names are given and pleasantries are exchanged. The initial meeting is a make-break thing in every relationship especially for youngsters. From the impressions made and emotional undertone expressed, the individuals involved will either choose to level up the relationship or just leave it that way.

The chance interaction between Carly and Lanz, both senior high school students from two different schools, was just like any other ordinary meeting of young individuals. They did not expect anything will arise from their meeting. It was just an ordinary acquaintance for both of them. Little did they know that it was going to be the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.

Hurting Human Reality

Anything Needed

After the start of the school year, things began to settle down. Class schedule, teachers’ names, and new classmates’ nicknames had been memorized, and the second quarter was about to start. Alongside these were new friendships that were forged among classmates or new additions to the circle of friends that had been absorbed in the peer group. Relationships were being constantly built from both the “old” and the “new”.

This was the scenario that was cast halfway in July 2012 in a coed school in Makati City. New bonds were being created as school life moved on. May, a sophomore high school student from the last batch of the old curriculum (Note: K to 12 Program has been launched last school- year), has gotten close with Nique (pronounced as Nik). They had known each other since they started out in high school. May was always giving Nique a hand in anything that she needed. Little did May know that she was “user-friendly”.

Exes Crossing Paths

Handling the feeling...

People come and go in our lives. It is a given that people whom we hold close and dear are for us to keep. There are many among us who have been hurt, others more than once, after breaking up with someone whom we love. Just as they arrived in our lives, the time came when they had to leave us. We then went on to live separate lives… for good.

We can never tell what will happen after saying farewell or goodbye, others none at all. Then here comes an unexpected moment when one gets to meet his or her “ex.” This was Eams’ experience when he stumbled across somebody familiar. (Note: This happened in the summer of 2008, only the names were changed)
